About Us

Cremson Ventures is an investment vehicle formed by Mark Feild alongside his business partner and mentor, Bill Addy, with the intention of acquiring a single lower/middle market business in the greater DFW region. We founded Cremson Ventures to buy and build businesses the right way - where employees are treated with respect and given opportunities to grow, where sellers know that their legacy will be preserved and protected, and where we collectively are investing and building for the long term.

Mark is excited to put his experience in building and operating small businesses to work with this venture. After a stint in technology sales at ISNetworld and Salesforce, Mark made the jump to the startup world where he was one of the first employees at Alto Experience Inc, a rideshare company that grew to $40MM in revenue run rate with 1,500+ employees over the 6 years he was there. During his time at Alto, Mark built out the Customer Experience, Operations, and Sales departments from scratch. On the side, Mark also runs a teeth whitening and oral care eCommerce brand, Pearli, stemming from his roots in a family comprised a several dentists.

Mark graduated from Princeton University and lives in Dallas, TX with his wife, Aly, and newborn son, Jack. In his free time, Mark enjoys golfing, cooking, and spending time with his son.

It is our desire to make a deal with a current business owner that benefits everyone equally. Not only do we bring a lot of experience when it comes to owning and operating a company, but we can make the deal process as easy as possible for all involved - meaning we can deploy our capital extremely quickly and are willing to structure the deal in the way that makes the most sense for all parties.

We Hold for the Long Term

Unlike Private Equity which plans to hold investments for 4-6 years, we take the long-term perspective by envisioning the company as our own. This means we are not required to sell and are focused on growing the business the right way with conservative capital structures and a commitment to long-term relationships.

General

Industry Agnostic

  • We have a broad aperture for industries and business models, but our preferences are below in no particular order:

  • Software, Home/professional Services, Equipment Rentals, Supply and Distribution

Located in DFW

  • We are looking for business solely in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

Founder/Family Run

  • We prefer a founder or family-owned business that has a good reason for selling. The owner’s willingness to stick around and properly transition the business is extremely important to us.


Company

Opportunities for Growth

  • Our intention is to grow the company we purchase, so we would ideally identify one with several opportunities for improvement.

Strong Financials

  • We are looking for businesses making between $500k - $2m in EBITDA/SDE at 20% margins

Track Record of Success

  • We prefer businesses that have been operating at a high level for at least 10 years with diverse customer bases and solid teams in place.
